• Usage analytics or app behavior tracking

2. How the App Works

Stream Mate operates as follows:

• Local Processing: All URL parsing and download management happens directly on your device
• API Communication: When you request a download, the app communicates with our secure backend API to retrieve public download links. The API does not log or store URLs or personal data
• Direct Downloads: Media files are downloaded directly to your device's storage
• No Cloud Storage: Downloaded files remain only on your device; we never store them on our servers
• Ephemeral Sessions: All download sessions are temporary and no data persists after completion

3. Permissions Required

The app requires the following permissions solely to function:

• Internet Access: To communicate with our backend API and download media files
• Storage Access: To save downloaded files to your device
• Network State: To monitor connectivity and optimize download quality (WiFi vs mobile data)
• Notifications: To show download progress and completion alerts

All permissions are used solely for core app functionality and never for data collection or tracking.

4. Third-Party Services

Stream Mate does not sell or share user data with third-party analytics or advertising services. The app connects only to:

• Our Backend API: Used for URL parsing only
• Social Media Platforms: To retrieve publicly accessible content URLs requested by the user
• Google Play Services & Firebase: For basic infrastructure services (e.g. app delivery, crash monitoring) operating under Google's Privacy Policy

5. Data Security

While we do not collect personal data, we implement security best practices:

• All API communications use HTTPS encryption
• No user data is stored on our servers
• Downloaded files are stored locally using Android's secure storage APIs

6. Children's Privacy

Stream Mate does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13. Since we collect no personal information, the app is safe for all ages, subject to parental guidance regarding content.

7. Copyright and Content Responsibility

Users are responsible for ensuring they have the right to download content. Stream Mate:

• Does not remove watermarks or DRM protection
• Only provides access to publicly available content
• Does not support downloading private or restricted content
• Respects platform terms of service

9. Your Rights

• Files downloaded to your device (managed through your device's file manager)
• App permissions (managed through your device settings)
• App uninstallation (removes all app data from your device)

Stream Mate is available worldwide. Since we do not collect personal data, GDPR, CCPA, and other regional privacy regulations are fully respected as no user data is processed or stored. The app operates identically for all users regardless of location.
